Yes, 3D dental scans are very safe. While they do use X-rays to generate images, our CBCT system uses significantly less radiation than conventional medical CT scans—up to 10 times less. The radiation dose is only slightly higher than traditional dental X-rays while providing vastly more diagnostic information.
